A first message that invites you to talk
Start with curiosity and leave freedom to respond.
Refer to something specific
Read what the person has chosen to share. You can ask about a book, a song, or an interest from their profile. A short, open question usually gives more space than a speech about what you imagine about it. Avoid assumptions about their personality, availability or romantic situation based on their origin.
Accept any answer
No one is obliged to answer or explain a refusal. Silence does not invite insistence from other accounts. If the conversation doesn't continue, respect the decision. The attention received does not create a debt and a kind response does not equal romantic interest. Meeting people also requires accepting different rhythms.
Move forward by mutual agreement
Before proposing a call, changing platforms or sharing photos, ask if the other person would like to. Don't turn those steps into a trust test. It is valid to reserve information and need more time. Communication is more comfortable when both parties can choose how to participate.
